| To
outline the time off from service for required educational
activities. |

| Responsibilities |
| Residents
are allowed two days off to take USMLE Exams during
the EM-1
year.
When scheduling exam dates, allow time for services
to be notified.
Any other
examination needs will be used as vacation time.
Residents will be excused from clinical activities
to take the National
Inservice
Exam and the program oral exams. These are held each
February. |
