EMS/Disaster and Toxicology

The EMS/Disaster Medicine rotation takes advantage of having an accredited EMS fellowship at Regions as well. The experience can take one of two forms. The fellow may choose to be part of a local DMAT with all of its training, responsibilities, and potential deployment for a more longitudinal experience. Alternatively, study of EMS systems in general may be undertaken under the direction of the EMS fellowship director.
The International Toxicology rotation will be a survey of the toxicology issues affecting the international community. These include the use and regulation of pesticides, contamination of water supplies, as well as the common ingestion. The idea will be to have done a global survey on the current state of toxicology.
